Most schools include Chemistry as an elective subject for Home Economics students. Chemistry plays a significant role in helping students pursue their interests in the field of Pharmacy. Beside that, the system has changed a bit to enable students explore other areas apart from their main program of study. A Home Economics student can apply to pursue Pharmacy at the university level, provided they have the interest and passed their WASSCE to be able to meet the cut off point for admission into the school of Pharamcy.
