Trimester is the division of the academic year in three parts; fall, winter and spring. It is mostly practiced by most universities outside the African continent but only adopted in Ghana by the university for development studies.
See lessThe idea for adopting the trimester is to allow students have a practical feel of what they are studying in the class room. Students are sent to rural communities in some selected regions to go and teach, feel, practice and correlate what they have learnt in classroom on the field. It gives students a real experience of what’s actually happening on grounds. This is only done in the third semester.
