You do not necessarily have to know coding before you start your computer science studies, however, it becomes an added advantage if you know how to code. Programming or coding is one of the integral part of computer science, and having previous knowledge in it helps the student to be able to reduce a little pressure, when the topic of programming is to be discussed. You however, do not have to panic if you do not know how to code. You will still be thought. Just go all out to learn everything you need to know in computer science. It is broad.
