Is it appropriate for me to start learning after getting admission into the university or should I wait till school officially starts?

Learning or studying after gaining admission into the university before the university officially begins academic work is something I didn’t do personally. Most of the time you don’t know the courses you would be doing the first semester after gaining admission until you have registered. And shortly after the registration process, lectures begin. So you may not even know what to study prior to registering. As a result, most people on gaining admission hardly do reading beforehand. However, those who are privileged to know their program content or course schedule for their program can probably go through them to at least have a fair knowledge of what you will be doing for the semester. Also, there are a few common basic courses that almost every student do in the university the first semester such as Communication skills (English), some Mathematics (advance), etc. So one could study these courses beforehand upon gaining admission into the university without the university officially starting academic activities.
